The deep malice emanating from within the towering structure sent chills down everyone's spine, making them feel smaller than ever before!
Everything they had once cared about—fame, money, prospects, destiny, humanity—became utterly insignificant before that malice. All that remained was the inevitability of destruction!
Even though they had already experienced the agony of being devoured by the Grey Tide many times during the Gray Tide Apocalypse, the misery of being torn apart alive and swallowed nearly drove every one of them mad.
Then, after the Salvation Army soldiers were swallowed into the towering structure and endured the terror of having their limbs torn apart, they were shocked to discover that it was not over.
The game mission was still ongoing. Though their bodies had died, their consciousnesses seemed to have been absorbed into the towering structure.
Then all manner of scenes flashed before their eyes.
Information from countless parallel universes appeared before them.
Universes filled with energy-based lifeforms; universes where black holes devoured everything; universes occupied by terrifying, bizarre, indescribable colossal creatures; universes filled with the trails of spaceships; universes containing only a single supergiant planet; universes where humans were raised and hunted by monsters; universes where silicon-based life controlled everything; and so on.
Aside from a handful of universes brimming with vitality—passionate, terrifying, or bizarre—most of them were black.
There was only darkness. No light, no heat. The universes had completely fallen silent, without the slightest trace of life remaining.
Even time had lost all meaning.
Only death was eternal.
At the same time, the Salvation Army soldiers saw themselves and their families dying in various apocalyptic worlds, meeting all kinds of tragic ends.
Dying from organ failure caused by nuclear radiation.
Dying as their entire bodies rotted from viral infection.
Drowning in raging floods.
Freezing into ice sculptures
