Background / History

Tang San is Tang Hao's son and a central member of the Shrek Seven Devils. His father concealed important information from him, including Tang Hao's identity as the Clear Sky Douluo and the possibility that Xiao Wu had been selected as Tang San's future ninth soul ring. 8 11

At Blue Tyrant Academy, Tang San showed immediate interest in the newly introduced Soul Guidance Technology, Alchemy, and Stellar Martial Path. He correctly suspected that blueprints or a Soul Tool's bulk might be weaknesses of Soul Guidance Technology, though Qin Ming rejected both answers. 13

Tang San's conflict with Ye Qingcang escalated after Xiao Wu's identity as a 100,000-Year Transformed Soul Beast was exposed. Feeling betrayed by Xiao Wu's suspicions and hostile toward Ye Qingcang, he joined the challenge against Ye Qingcang and confronted him personally. 20 21

During the duel, Tang San's Blue Silver Grass was burned through by Ye Qingcang's fire-based Self-Created Soul Skill. He used Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track to escape and then revealed his Clear Sky Hammer; Ye Qingcang caught the hammer bare-handed, shattered it, and severely injured Tang San. Tang San survived the backlash largely because of the Mysterious Heaven Skill. 21 22

Later, Ye Qingcang publicly identified the Mysterious Heaven Skill as a cultivation method rather than a mere technique, drawing Tang San's immediate suspicion and hostility. Tang San subsequently began refining pills as an Alchemist using rare materials. 43 46

Personality

Tang San is intensely protective of his interests and relationships, particularly where Xiao Wu and his expected divine inheritance are concerned. He develops enduring hatred toward Ye Qingcang, whom he considers a thief who took both his god position and Xiao Wu from him. 122 132

He can restrain his emotions when authority or practical results are at stake. As Young Sect Master, he focuses on earning merit and influence within the Clear Sky Sect rather than openly indulging his dissatisfaction with its disciples. 208

However, under pressure he becomes combative, suspicious, and unwilling to accept compromise. His opposition to Tang Chen's return becomes an open rebellion against his ancestor after Tang Chen refuses to validate Tang San's hostility toward Ye Qingcang. 217 219
