Background / History

Tang San entered Nuoding Soul Master Academy with innate full soul power and Blue Silver Grass. Yu Xiaogang recognized that Tang San possessed twin martial souls and became his teacher; Tang San concealed his Clear Sky Hammer from others. Yu Xiaogang intended to train Tang San along a control-and-assault path. 1

When Li Zha publicly challenged Yu Xiaogang's assessment of his martial souls, Tang San immediately defended his teacher. He attacked Li Zha with Blue Silver Grass, poisoned hidden needles, Mysterious Jade Hand, and Purple Demon Eyes, but Li Zha neutralized the poison and nearly struck him with the Flaming-tipped Spear before Yu Xiaogang intervened. 1 2

Tang San remained committed to Yu Xiaogang despite the public exposure of Luo Sanpao's first soul skill and Li Zha's repeated criticism of the Master's theories. He proposed comparing their first soul rings, believing Yu Xiaogang would secure him the optimal configuration. 3

Tang San is intensely loyal to Yu Xiaogang. Even after witnessing his teacher's embarrassing soul skill and questioning his weakness during the Datura Snake hunt, he chooses to trust Yu Xiaogang's theories and considers saving him a student's duty. 3 26 27

He is also secretive, calculating, and vindictive. During his clash with Li Zha, he concealed poisoned needles behind his back and intended to kill him for disrespecting Yu Xiaogang. After being injured and outmatched, he continued to view Li Zha as a future rival whom he wanted to defeat. 2 27
