Wade took Mikey's warning to heart, but there was no need to worry about it for the time being.
He had often gone to the Potion classroom to practice brewing whenever it was empty, and some Slytherin students had probably seen him a few times. But they did not know that since discovering the Room of Requirement, Wade had rarely gone there.
As for who those people were, Wade naturally had a good idea.
He decided to leave them hanging for a few days first, but he could not delay for too long—if too much time passed, those Slytherins might simply choose to give up.
After class on Thursday, Wade went to find Professor Murray at the Astronomy Tower as usual. On the way, he unexpectedly ran into several seventh-year students. They were much taller than him, but each of them had their heads hanging low, somehow making them seem a few inches shorter.
One girl was speaking to the person beside her. "I'm going to kill Jennifer! She told me Alchemy was fun and Professor Murray wasn't demanding—that's not demanding?"
"Professor Murray really was easygoing before! Remember? Back when we were in sixth year." Another student sighed. "It's just that he took in a new student this year, and suddenly he can't stand the sight of us anymore—he used to like me quite a lot."
The girl in front said resentfully, "Teaching himself Runes in first year? He's completely insane! If we weren't all at school, I'd definitely think it was a lie!"
A student lamented, "Sigh... Why doesn't he spend more time on Quidditch?"
"Have any of you studied the Book of Friends?" a boy suddenly asked.
"I tried."
"It's hard."
"There's no way to crack it."
