The Metropolitan Life Building on Madison Avenue was one of New York's famous skyscrapers. At over two hundred meters tall, it offered an unobstructed view of the entire Upper East Side.
On a clear day, one could see the densely packed luxury apartments spread out in orderly rows below—
Magnificent buildings, exquisite gardens, Central Park like a green carpet, and brilliant lights...
Everything made the place seem like something out of a fairy tale.
Crisscrossing roads divided the ground into a neat grid, while streams of vehicles flowed endlessly like rivers of light.
But the weather was terrible tonight. Looking out from the window, all the woman could see was the pitch-black glass and her own reflection, not the familiar scenery beyond.
So, the woman dining in the luxurious top-floor restaurant glanced outside, then withdrew her gaze without interest. She brushed the soft hair by her temple aside, looked at the man across from her, and smiled happily.
Above this window, all the way to the very top of the building, in what should have been an empty, freezing place, two people stood there.
Beside them was an enormous jellyfish. Its round bell shielded them from the falling rain, while the tentacles around its edge curled together to block the cold wind from every direction. The tips of those tentacles even bent at just the right angle, forming two seats.
Beneath the jellyfish was a ring of blue flames. Though the fire flickered weakly, it made the surroundings feel as warm as spring.
The two were Grindelwald and Wade.
Grindelwald's white hair whipped in the howling wind as he narrowed his eyes at the city, blurred and hazy beneath the mist.
Wade, meanwhile, tilted his head back. Dark clouds reflected in his eyes, and he knew his Golems were wheeling
