The coffee shop bell chimed crisply. Antoine turned to glance over, saw that it was only several Magical Congress employees coming in together to buy coffee, and casually looked away.

"Should be about time, right?" Antoine drained the remaining coffee in his cup in one gulp, frowning slightly at the bitterness. Then he said, "Come on. Time to do the real work."

Wade withdrew his gaze from the other Guests in the shop, nodded, and walked out of the coffee shop with Antoine. They turned into a relatively secluded alley nearby.

The alley was piled with odds and ends. Sunlight was sliced by the tall buildings into narrow bands of light, while fine dust floated in the air.

At the sight, both of them could not help stopping to watch for a moment.

Ever since Hawthorne and Hughes had been ambushed by floating luminous dust, such particles were no longer an ordinary, harmless part of the scenery in their eyes. They could become dangerous weapons at any moment.

Of course, the dust in this alley was merely dust. It held no strange power.

Wade asked, "You should be very busy right now, shouldn't you? Mr. Grindelwald didn't assign you any other work?"

The Acolytes had taken over part of Prometheus's legacy and clues, and they also had to deal with the new situation following the shift in power at the Magical Congress. In theory, they were desperately short-handed. As Grindelwald's trusted lieutenant, Antoine did not seem like he should be accompanying him on a "stroll."

Antoine chuckled. "Helping you finish this is my work for the time being—Mr. Grindelwald ordered it personally."

"All right, then." Wade grabbed Antoine by the arm. "Get ready."

Antoine adjusted his stance and asked with mild surprise, "When did you learn Apparition?"
