Rise Up! Monthly Votes, Please!

After putting out 30,000 words at the start of the month, I was exhausted. But then I remembered I still hadn't finished making up the chapters I owed from August's monthly votes, and I couldn't let up. So I'm burning myself out again today! Here are 8,000 words to start with. I'll keep writing, and barring any surprises, there should be nearly 20,000 more words tomorrow. Please give me a boost with your monthly votes!
