The Power Bank Takes the Field

Hyuga Seisen unhesitatingly wielded his will like a blade and viciously severed his connection to the Stone Gate.

The connection broke.

The secret chamber returned to deathly silence.

Seisen stood where he was, his chest heaving violently as a thin sheen of cold sweat appeared on his forehead.

He immediately turned his attention inward.

After only one glance, his heart skipped a beat.

It was gone.

In that contact lasting less than half a second,

seventy percent of the chakra in his body had been forcibly drained away!

Seisen stared fixedly at the Stone Gate in his Sea of Consciousness, which had returned to stillness.

The energy gauges on either side of the Stone Gate had risen by only the faintest, nearly imperceptible amount.

He swallowed.

What kind of monster is this?

Seisen looked at the motionless Stone Gate in his Sea of Consciousness and wiped away his cold sweat.

That last pull had nearly drained him dry.

He took a deep breath and calmed the churning blood and chakra within him. The Stone Gate was now a bottomless pit. His own chakra simply could not fill it.

He had been quite pleased when he saw that his fusion rate after advancing had unprecedentedly reached fifty percent rather than the usual ten percent.

It had saved him quite a few Energy Crystals, only for this thing to dump him straight into a pit.

Still.

He was a Jinchuriki in Perfect Tailed Beast Mode.

When the Stone Gate had reappeared last time, it had absorbed the Nine-Tails' energy.

Didn't he have an oversized "power bank" at home?

With a thought,

Seisen's consciousness sank directly into the sealing space in his abdomen.

Ripples spread across the water in the dim space.

The Nine-Tails was lying on the water, lazily swishing its tails.
