While all of Kazimierz was passionately discussing the Blanket Knight, what was Bai Ye doing?

He was giving the old man a follow-up examination.

That was right. This old man was the pure-blooded Wendigo whom Bai Ye had personally killed and then resurrected—Bocskai, code name "Patriot."

In the room, Bocskai sat in a chair, his enormous body like a mountain.

Even without his armor, the monster had only shrunk by one size. He was still immensely tall.

Patriot's room had been specially made, exceptionally spacious. Even the furniture had been custom-built to suit his size.

An ordinary little chair simply could not fit such a colossal creature.

"Old sir, you're recovering well."

Standing atop a small low table beside him, Bai Ye finished examining Patriot's body and nodded in satisfaction.

This was the first person he had dragged back from hell through Resurrection.

Bai Ye did not know how many resurrected people there were in the world of Terra, but presumably not many.

Speaking of resurrection, a new accompanying physician had recently joined Rhodes Island's medical department. Her race was extremely unusual: when their bodies could no longer endure their environment or suffered severe trauma, they would revert to an infant state, lose their previous memories, and grow up anew.

This peculiar form of "rebirth" was not true immortality, but rather a biological process of differentiation, transfer, and regression.

Still, it reminded Bai Ye that the Resurrection he possessed might not be absolutely unique on this planet. Perhaps even more unknown secrets were waiting to be uncovered.

Thinking about it that way, resurrection was not all that extraordinary.

However, for Patriot, the beginning of his resurrection could hardly be called a pleasant experience.
