"Same line of work?" Texas tilted her head. "The courier business doesn't have any requirements when it comes to cooking..."
After thinking for a moment, Texas continued,
"I've never heard of anyone hiring a bounty hunter to cook for them either..."
Clearly, Texas did not quite understand what Bai Ye meant.
The "peers" Bai Ye referred to were naturally fellow transmigrators.
Those predecessors had all mastered impressive cooking skills. At the very least, they were on the level of the Totsuki Elite Ten, if not special-grade chefs. Beyond that, they could even make glowing dishes.
Bai Ye had not learned that skill. The best he could do was cook ingredients and put them together into something edible.
If Bai Ye had been willing to devote himself to it, he might have achieved decent results. Unfortunately, he had little interest in cooking.
Well, the only thing he could show off was probably his knife skills...
Fortunately, Texas was not one to dawdle. The two of them finally arrived at the cafeteria before the dinner rush ended.
Since today's cook was Bai Ye's acquaintance, Gummy, he was able to ask her to make him something extra.
In the end, Gummy made far too much, so Bai Ye could only pack it up in a lunchbox.
After saying goodbye to Texas, Bai Ye carried the lunchbox toward Doctor Kal'tsit's office.
There was no one in Doctor Kal'tsit's office.
After thinking for a moment, Bai Ye headed for the Control Center near the bridge.
Sure enough, Doctor Kal'tsit was there. Her arms were folded across her chest, her eyes fixed on the large screen on the wall.
"Good evening, Doctor Kal'tsit."
Bai Ye deliberately softened his footsteps as he approached her, then suddenly greeted her.
"Don't mess around. Mon3tr already saw you..." Doctor Kal'tsit
