Rhodes Island had docked in Siesta's harbor district. Though Siesta was not a mobile city, it had still established a transfer zone similar to those of mobile cities to accommodate visiting landships.
Bai Ye checked the time. It was ten in the morning, Siesta time.
"Bai Ye, you're wearing that already?"
Texas circled Bai Ye with an amused smile, looking over his outfit.
It was a very cool, breezy getup. Bai Ye normally would not dress like this.
Bai Ye pointed at the sun hanging high in the sky.
"Because it's hot here. And I'm on vacation, so I don't really want to use my abilities to block out the heat."
Bai Ye's clothes bore a permanent divine spell of "Endure Elemental Damage," allowing him to remain in a comfortable environment at all times. It was an exceptionally leisurely spell.
However, since he had come on vacation with the intention of experiencing life, Bai Ye had changed into a different outfit and had not cast the spell.
So now, he could feel the heat outside his body.
"This feels so weird..." Texas could not help complaining. "But it really is hot."
After standing on the deck for only a short while, Texas was already sweating lightly.
"As expected, the sun is our natural enemy!"
Behind them, a vampire holding a parasol could not help grumbling.
She was Miss Warfarin, a Blood Demon from the Medical Department.
Blood Demons would not turn to ash beneath the sun, nor were they afraid of garlic or crosses. Still, judging from Warfarin's expression, she clearly disliked sunlight.
"So why did you drag me out too? I just wanted to curl up in my office and enjoy the air conditioning..."
