He did not even spare his fallen companion a glance.
"Who are you? Why did you attack my father?" Xuanyu stepped forward and met the hypnotized man's gaze.

He was also curious why these people had targeted his father.
The hypnotized Kumogakure ninja's face twisted briefly before he said dully, "I am a Kumogakure ninja. We kidnapped Uchiha Hanjō for Uchiha Hanjō's wealth, and for the Sharingan!"
"You wanted the Sharingan? Then why kidnap my father? He's just a civilian!" Xuanyu's brows rose. Demanding ransom for a kidnapping would have made sense, but his father was only a civilian who had never even awakened his eyes, yet they were still coveting the old man's eyes.
"Money was the main goal. If his Sharingan could be transplanted, that would be an extra profit!" the Kumogakure ninja replied woodenly.
"So even after kidnapping my father and collecting the ransom, you wouldn't have let him return?" Xuanyu continued.
The Kumogakure ninja nodded, clearly agreeing with Xuanyu's conclusion.
"Do you have any other operations planned for tonight?" Xuanyu asked.
