"Ursus slang, I finally found you!"

The senior inspector in a red uniform soon entered Han Fei's sight, gripping a long blade and glaring at him viciously.

"Well, aren't you just amazing?"

Han Fei grinned and raised his Bizon, unloading a burst at the inspector.

The next second, something Han Fei hadn't expected happened.

A white round struck the senior inspector squarely, and several white body armor icons popped up.

This was Delta Force's hit feedback. Its meaning was simple—we hadn't penetrated the enemy's armor!

"Huh? That armor's pretty good."

Han Fei grew even more interested. He was still wearing battered green armor; if he could swap it for a set of high-tier armor, he'd make a killing!

"Die!"

The inspector's military boots crushed ice crystals beneath the snow as his standard-issue saber, gleaming with dangerous red light, slashed through the blizzard.

Han Fei was about to dodge when he heard a clang!

A black-and-gold blade thrust out from the side, precisely blocking the attack before him.

Han Fei turned his head. The wind and snow tossed Talulah's white hair, while her backlit silhouette gleamed with cold light refracted through ice crystals. Her gaze was steadfast, and the hands gripping her sword were as steady as a mountain.

Talulah exerted force and knocked the senior inspector back, then glanced sideways at Han Fei with concern. "Are you all right?"

"I'm fine."

Han Fei shrugged, looking utterly relaxed. "This guy isn't much of a threat."

No sooner had he spoken than the senior inspector pulled out a crossbow and fired.

Talulah's blade sliced through the snowstorm, neatly cutting the bolt in half midair. Staring straight at the senior inspector, she said, "Sneak attacks are useless."

"Ursus slang..."

The senior inspector had just opened his mouth to deliver a threat when the Bizon began firing.

The next second, the senior inspector collapsed to the ground, curling into a ball as he clutched his feet in agony.

"Brat, you think you're the only one who can shoot?"

Holding up his Bizon, Han Fei said disdainfully, "What era do you think this is? You're still playing with crossbows? Do you even understand the value of full-auto?"

The senior inspector was curled up in pain. How could he possibly respond to Han Fei's taunting?

"Put him out of his misery."

Talulah stepped forward, about to swing her sword.

"Don't, let me do it!"

Han Fei hurriedly stopped her. He jogged in front of Talulah and raised his gun, spraying the inspector's legs with a barrage of bullets.

Han Fei didn't dare let Talulah do it. What if she damaged the helmet?

Repairing helmets and armor cost money too!

Rat-tat-tat!

Amid a burst of rapid gunfire, the senior inspector stopped moving and died completely.

"You really are strange."

Talulah looked at Han Fei, who was engrossed in looting the body, somewhat puzzled. "Wouldn't it be better to save ammunition?"

"It's fine. They're only tier-one white rounds, not worth much."

Without turning around, Han Fei continued looting. "More importantly, let me see what treasures he has in his bag. Holy shit?!"

So Hard to Guess ### "Oho, there's even a little gold here."

Han Fei stared at the Guard Gold Signet Ring with its gold background in the senior inspector's backpack, delight written all over his face.

Even as he rejoiced, Han Fei was puzzled and couldn't help muttering, "Which guard unit are you from?"

Puzzled or not, Han Fei moved quickly. He pulled out the little blue container from his crotch and put the gold signet ring inside.

That hand speed was enough to put anyone at ease!

Talulah walked over to Han Fei's side. Seeing his delighted expression, she asked curiously, "What is it? Why are you so happy?"

"Got something good."

Han Fei took out the gold signet ring, tossed it in his hand, and showed it to Talulah.

Talulah took a look and smiled. "It looks valuable. Congratulations."

"It's worth a bit."

Han Fei put the Guard Gold Signet Ring away again. "Honestly, I never expected to find this thing here."

In terms of value, this gold signet ring was quite expensive among one-slot little golds, worth ninety thousand per slot. But rather than sell it, Han Fei preferred to keep it as a collectible.

The Guard Gold Signet Ring was rare to begin with. Though rated as a little gold, its rarity was no less than that of certain precious red-value collectibles.

More importantly, he'd looted it from an AI spawned by a mission!

Han Fei wasn't bragging. Since he started playing Delta Force, he had taken at least eight hundred, if not a thousand, battlefield missions.

In his experience, the AI spawned by those missions had abysmally low drop rates!

Could anyone really find a big red in the backpack of a mission AI?

At any rate, Han Fei never had.

Forget big reds—even little golds were rare.

It was already extremely rare, and this was on top of the drop rates in normal mode and a mission AI's backpack. Getting a gold signet ring truly meant Han Fei had gotten lucky.

"Then put it away carefully. Don't lose it." Talulah reminded him before turning around. "I'll clean up the aftermath. Keep scavenging."

"Got it."

Han Fei answered and continued looting the senior inspector's backpack.

There was nothing valuable left in the bag, just a battered tier-three helmet and tier-three armor, along with an Uzi.

It seemed the Guard Gold Signet Ring had sucked all the value out of the backpack. Everything remaining was white, which fit normal mode's drop rates.

Though the tier-three helmet and armor were rather shabby, and the helmet wasn't even an audio helmet but a sensory-deprivation helmet—the blast helmet that reduced sound pickup range—Han Fei still regarded them as treasures for one simple reason.

"This set can be saved for Armory runs!"

After looting the senior inspector's bag, Han Fei stood and looked around.

The sounds of battle had not yet died down. Some inspectors were still putting up stubborn resistance, while Talulah and FrostNova led the Infected through the final cleanup.

"I already drew the first wave of gunfire. It wouldn't be too much to go eat first, right?"

Though Han Fei said that, he did not go loot the inspectors' backpacks.

There was no need to rush looting mission AI backpacks. He might as well search some containers; maybe he'd find something big.

With that thought in mind, Han Fei headed straight for the large wooden cabin in the middle—the one the senior inspector had emerged from.

At the door, Han Fei exhaled a cloud of white mist and kicked it open. The rotten scent of pine mixed with rusty bloodstink rushed at him, while the fireplace embers flickered in the draft.

"Let's see what treasures are in here."

Han Fei looked around. This room seemed to be a combined living and dining room. A large wooden table stood in plain sight, with some tableware on it, but none of it could be picked up or counted toward value.

—Just like those fruit platters and other miscellaneous objects in the game, they were unlootable decorations.

Aside from the tableware, there were little white items like pepper shakers and newspapers.

Han Fei was no longer the naked knife-runner who had nothing. His backpack was full now, so naturally he wouldn't pick up these little white items.

After checking the table, Han Fei swept his gaze across the room. In the fairly spacious area, he spotted only one container, and it was a blue travel bag rather than a hiking backpack.

Han Fei went straight to it. After searching it once, he curled his lip. "Green. Not tasty."

After searching the travel bag, Han Fei got up and checked the rest of the room. Once he was sure he hadn't missed anything, he couldn't help complaining, "So poor."

He had searched the entire living room and found nothing worth taking. It was simply too impoverished.

Fortunately, there was a wooden door on the left side of the cabin, leading to another room.

Han Fei did not have much hope of finding anything, but since he was already here, there was no reason not to go in. He pushed the door open and entered.

This was probably the senior inspector's bedroom. A large bed stood farther inside, and besides a nightstand next to it, there was also a desk.

What sat on the desk made Han Fei's eyes light up.

"Oh, there's even a safe here."

A small dark safe sat conspicuously on the desk, what Delta Force players commonly called a small free safe.

Han Fei eagerly walked over. The moment he touched it, the little free safe opened automatically, and a black horizontal two-slot item began spinning in the search animation.

The instant he saw that shape, Han Fei's heart sank halfway. "Tsk, what could a horizontal two-slot item in a small free safe be? So hard to guess."

What else could a horizontal two-slot item in a normal-mode small free safe be? A fossil? Of course not!

Sure enough, the search animation quickly vanished, and a complete cow horn appeared before Han Fei.

"I knew it."

Han Fei smacked his lips. Though he hadn't expected to find anything good, seeing a cow horn was still hard to take.

There were really too many of these, and they weren't worth much!

Still, Han Fei wasn't picky. He had not even cleared all the green items from his backpack, so he could definitely take the cow horn.

Han Fei cleared out two little greens, stuffed the cow horn into his backpack, and said:

"Let's set a small goal first: fill a backpack with blues before heading back."

After finishing with the safe, Han Fei looked around again. There was more stuff in this bedroom than outside. Besides the small free safe, clothes hung on the wall, and a hiking backpack lay on the floor.

Moreover, a one-slot little blue hunting matchbox had also spawned on the desk with the safe.

Han Fei wasn't picky. He thoroughly searched the clothes and hiking backpack, but found nothing valuable—only two little blues and three little greens.

As he scavenged, a mission-complete notification popped up.

[Operation Successful] Haf Coins +10000.

"What a haul."

Han Fei was thoroughly satisfied. He had found a little gold, gained an extra set of tier-three gear, and cleared out plenty of little greens from his backpack. This trip had truly been worth it!

Just then, FrostNova suddenly rushed in with urgency.

Han Fei was about to head out and nearly collided with FrostNova. Fortunately, both reacted quickly enough to avoid crashing into each other.

The ice crystals at the tips of her hair shattered with her panting, scattering fragments against Han Fei's neck and raising goosebumps.

FrostNova grabbed Han Fei's wrist, the chill stabbing him painfully. "Help me. Help me save her..."

Han Fei raised an eyebrow. "Someone's hurt?"

"I'll explain on the way. Hurry, come with me."

FrostNova dragged Han Fei into the blizzard, her voice breaking apart in the wind. "She won't stop bleeding... You said you could heal people, right?"

You're Lucky You Ran into Me ### The freezing wind lashed Han Fei's face with snow grains. Squinting into the distance, he saw the snow at the center of the crowd stained dark red, like a piece of torn velvet.

Urgent cries came from within the crowd.

"Don't close your eyes! Open them, look at me!"

"Don't sleep! Big Sis has gone to find a way!"

FrostNova quickened her pace, pulling Han Fei over as she shouted, "Move aside!"

"Big Sis" carried considerable authority. The Yeti Squad immediately opened a path for FrostNova.

FrostNova led Han Fei into the crowd and asked anxiously, "Can you save her?"

Han Fei looked down and saw that the snow had already been soaked through with blood. An Infected girl lay in the white snow. She looked only seventeen or eighteen, still so young, in the prime of her life.
