Big Daddy returned in the evening, riding a black muscle bike.

The moment he rode into the warehouse, he spotted Hayato and Peter, two unfamiliar faces. He immediately pulled a Remington shotgun from the side of the bike and aimed it at them.

"Big Daddy!"

Mindy said cheerfully, "These are two people I just met."

Most people would have said "new friends," not "two people I just met."

So the most likely explanation was not that Mindy did not acknowledge Hayato and Peter, but that Big Daddy had never instilled the concept of friends in her.

Big Daddy did not lower his gun right away, continuing to watch the two warily.

Dave said from the side, "Peter is a superhero too—the recently active Spider-Man."

Big Daddy swung the muzzle toward Hayato.

"He's Spider-Man's friend, Hayato. He's very powerful."

What Dave meant was that Hayato was powerful enough to wipe out all of them alone, so there was no need for any schemes.
