Mindy asked Big Daddy what he had found out.

Big Daddy silently shook his head.

Big Daddy's enemy was Frank Amick, a major drug dealer in Queens.

The story had to start before Mindy was born. Back then, Big Daddy—Damian Macready—had been one of Queens' Twin Dragons, relentlessly closing in on Frank Amick.

Driven into a rage, Frank joined forces with corrupt cops, framed Big Daddy, and sent him to prison.

Ironically, Big Daddy's charge was "drug trafficking."

While he was in prison, Big Daddy's pregnant wife could not bear the psychological pressure and swallowed pills to kill herself. The mother died, but Mindy was miraculously born.

When Big Daddy learned the terrible news in prison, something changed inside him. He became convinced that only violence could punish criminals. After his release, he trained Mindy in methods that could only be called "madness."

That was why becoming a superhero was merely part of Big Daddy's path of revenge, a way to punish criminals. In that regard, he resembled the Punisher. It was just that Big Daddy was clearly far weaker than the Punisher.

If it had been the Punisher, one week of investigation and preparation would have been enough. In half a night, he could have sent Amick and his entire crew neatly off to Mephisto, with time left over for a late-night snack.

Still, that was easy to understand.

Big Daddy had previously been a detective. His primary opponents had been street criminals in the city.

The Punisher, on the other hand, came from the most elite special forces. His main opponents were globally wanted terrorists, many of them supervillains.
