"Are you... serious?"
Danzo could hardly believe his ears, much less the meaning behind Wuye's words.
He was actually going to seize this opportunity and crush him outright?
"Danzo, do you know why I took so long to get here? I actually knew that Uchiha Shisui had come to find you." Wuye stood with his arms folded, speaking calmly.
Danzo stared at him. "Why?"

"I truly don't understand."
Danzo looked utterly serious.
Wuye's smile faded, his expression turning indifferent. "Before I became Hokage, every scheme directed against me—when was your shadow not behind it?"
"Of course, none of that matters. Our positions were different. You wanted to become Hokage, so it was only natural for you to suppress me," he said, looking at Danzo. "What truly made me want to kill you was the Nine-Tails Rebellion. You actually dared to clear the way for Uchiha Fugaku and the masked man!"
Danzo's pupils widened slightly.
"Everyone who plotted against Kushina... and my sister..."
Wuye's voice was low and solemn, like storm clouds pressing down from above,
