Unlocking the Mangekyo

Sasuke was only talking big; he had not actually touched her.

Sneaking a couple of touches of his future wife at home was one thing.

But if someone saw him in public, they would take him for a pervert.

Sasuke had never gone back to class.

To Sasuke, the Ninja Academy was merely a formality, not a necessity.

At dusk, after Sasuke escorted Hinata back to the Hyuga clan, he said goodbye to Hiashi Hyuga. "Uncle Hyuga, goodbye."

"Goodbye, Sasuke."

Hiashi Hyuga treated Sasuke very well. Geniuses were always liked by their elders.

Especially a one-in-a-million genius like Sasuke!

When Sasuke passed by the Ninja Academy, he saw Rock Lee still running.

Sasuke asked, "How many laps have you run?"

Rock Lee cried as he ran.

His legs no longer had the slightest bit of strength left. The only reason he could keep running was because his faith was sustaining him.

Rock Lee cried, "We won't be classmates in the future. I've run three hundred laps now. No matter how fast I run, I won't be able to finish five hundred laps before the sun sets."

Sasuke said to him, "Then why do you keep running when you know you can't complete the task?"

Rock Lee said, "I want to give it my all! I want to join the Ninja Academy too!"

Sasuke said to Rock Lee, "My name is Uchiha Sasuke. I admire your perseverance. If you can't enter the Ninja Academy, I'll have my father vouch for you tomorrow."

Rock Lee shouted, "Thank you, Sasuke! My name is Rock Lee! I'll join the Ninja Academy through my own efforts!"

On the rooftop, the chuunibyou watermelon-head in a green jumpsuit was still watching Rock Lee run.

The corners of his mouth rose slightly.

Like him, Rock Lee had no talent, but he worked hard.

Even though he knew he could not complete the task, he still did everything he could to finish it.

That attitude greatly gratified Guy.

At some point, a figure wearing a fox mask appeared beside Guy and said, "Guy, you've been standing here all day."

Guy said, "I saw my own reflection in that little guy!"

Then Might Guy leaped into the air, performed a dazzling seven-hundred-and-twenty-degree backflip, and landed on the ground directly in front of Rock Lee!

Rock Lee did not stop. He ran around Might Guy and continued running.

Might Guy ran alongside Rock Lee and gave him a thumbs-up. "Little guy, your perseverance has earned my recognition! Starting tomorrow, you can join the Ninja Academy's second year!"

Rock Lee stopped, gasping for breath as he looked at Might Guy in disbelief. "Is that true?"

Might Guy said, "That's right!"

"But I haven't even attended the first year!"

Might Guy said, "It's fine. I'll be your guarantor. You can go straight into the second year!"

Moved, Rock Lee hugged Might Guy's leg and cried. "Thank you! You're such a good person!"

But Might Guy said, "Don't cry. Keep moving! Those of us without talent can only catch up to geniuses through hard work!"

"Come on, keep exercising with me! Hard work will not betray you! Youth lies in exercise! Sweat is the radiance of youth!!"

That night, Sasuke returned home.

He saw the mysterious masked man standing in the middle of the courtyard.

Only Sasuke, Itachi, and Fugaku knew Obito's identity.

So although the Uchiha clan members found it strange to see Obito standing in the middle of the courtyard, they did not dare stop him.

When he saw Sasuke return from school,

Obito said to Sasuke, "I killed Danzo."

Then Obito took Danzo's head out of the Kamui dimension.

Obito said, "Danzo was weak, but extremely troublesome. Taking advantage of his position, he obtained a large number of Uchiha Sharingan from the battlefields of the Third Shinobi World War. Then he infiltrated the Uchiha compound and learned Izanagi, so I had to kill him eleven times before I truly killed him."

Obito tossed Danzo's head onto the ground, seemingly afraid of dirtying his hands.

Sasuke stared at Danzo's head, his mouth hanging open. The gaze in his one eye was incredibly hollow, but Sasuke only felt an immense sense of satisfaction.

Danzo really deserved to die!

They said there were no absolute good people or absolute bad people in Naruto, but Danzo was definitely the most hated one.

Now, he was finally dead!

Sasuke was suddenly overcome with the feeling that his great vengeance had been avenged. He only felt his eyes grow incomparably warm.

Three tomoe appeared uncontrollably in Sasuke's eyes, then spun and transformed.

Sasuke's eyes awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan!

But most Uchiha clan members awakened the Sharingan because of hatred and anger.

Sasuke, however, awakened the Mangekyo because he felt so "good" after killing Danzo.

The clan members watching nearby saw Sasuke awaken the Mangekyo.

Each was more shocked than the last!

Each was more excited than the last!

It was as if they themselves had awakened the Mangekyo.

"Sasuke's eyes are the Mangekyo!"

"Hahahaha! Our Uchiha clan truly has produced a genius!"

"I knew Sasuke was no ordinary person!"

"He awakened the Mangekyo at six years old. Even Uchiha Madara couldn't have done that back then, could he?"

Sasuke touched his eyes.
