In addition, this spell model had room for one more spell rune and improvements to three mental power nodes.
Compared to the Black Mist he had learned earlier, this spell seemed to have undergone fewer optimizations. However, that also represented the Gale Spell's inherent power and refinement.
Its raw destructive power could not match the Wind Blade Spell, and its control abilities could not compare to certain other spells. Its advantage lay in its versatility, which allowed it to demonstrate considerable usefulness in all kinds of environments.
To better master this spell model, further optimize it, and become proficient with it, Taylor specifically went to the Apprentice Library and exchanged 375 points with Oak for three books: The Flow of Wind, The Principles of Wind Blades, and The Connection and Transformation Between Wind and Restraint. He could only borrow them for two weeks.
In order to advance to Level 2 Wizard Apprentice sooner, Taylor even set aside some of the research he was currently studying and experiments he was conducting, beginning to study The Flow of Wind, The Connection and Transformation Between Wind and Restraint, and The Principles of Wind Blades day and night.
While studying those three books, Taylor also did not forget to continue using meditation to replace sleep at night, increasing his magic power and mental power.
One year later
Taylor was now eleven years old, and yesterday, he had become a powerful and honorable Level 2 Wizard Apprentice.
As his third spell model, the pale cyan Gale Spell model flickered slowly within his Mental Space.
Over the past year, Taylor had not only persisted in meditating to improve his magic power and mental power, but had also strengthened the Gale Spell he was currently studying. After adjusting the flow of four mental power nodes and optimizing the remaining space in three others, he could no longer make any better improvements to the overall system of this spell model. He only added an enhancement rune to make it even more complete.
He now possessed a total of three spells—Lesser Fireball, Black Mist, and Gale Spell—and two spell tools—the Flame Medal and Spider's Eye.
His overall capabilities, offensive strength, escape speed, illusion abilities, and more had all reached a relatively well-rounded level for his current stage. After advancing to Level 2 Wizard Apprentice, the resonance between magical elements and his mental power had further expanded his Mental Space, improved his physical qualities and magic power reserves, and transformed him completely.
Even Oak, a veteran Level 3 Wizard Apprentice, felt that Taylor's talent was far higher than he had imagined. Judging by the skills Taylor had already mastered, he was already a highly well-rounded White Wizard Apprentice.
Thus, today, Taylor decided to try activating his ability: Plane Traversal.
The White Tower Alliance's control over wizard apprentices was relatively loose, and the tasks it assigned had no compulsory requirements. The White Tower Alliance itself was situated on a massive isolated island. As an ordinary Level 2 Wizard Apprentice, he had no ability to leave the island unless he became a powerful wizard.
He wanted to explore other planes now partly out of curiosity, but also because he hoped to gather more knowledge and truths through exploring other planes, allowing them to collide endlessly and produce even more brilliant sparks that would help him travel farther down the path of wizardry.
Ever since he had learned that he could travel between different planes through his ability, this desire to explore had never ceased.
Caught in hesitation, Taylor sat alone in his lounge, lying on the bed without knowing what he was thinking. His rationality told him that he could not make a reckless attempt now. Yet his desire to explore and thirst for new knowledge urged him to try.
What a difficult situation...
Perhaps sensing Taylor's current indecision and hesitation, the ability within his Mental Space, already filled with spatial energy, suddenly transmitted a message.
Its general meaning was that plane traversal was extremely concealed. This ability had awakened after Taylor arrived in this world, when his soul from his previous life had been washed by spatial power of an extraordinarily high order. Its essence was difficult to perceive, and its concealment was guaranteed. It was precisely because of the ability's protection when his soul descended that he had successfully arrived in this world.
This message was similar to an instinct. It described certain events that had occurred during its birth, yet it was more like a record. It included Taylor's descent, the subtle changes that had occurred to his soul during its traversal, and the ability's process of awakening. Taylor understood the meaning conveyed by this information and organized it to some extent as he examined it. He could not help but become curious. His soul had actually been washed by spatial power of such an extraordinarily high order when he traveled here in his previous life. It seemed the place where he had once lived was far from simple.
But in terms of essence, the fact that his soul had descended upon this plane with the ability and gone undiscovered was enough to prove that his ability was reliable.
By examining the process recorded by his ability, Taylor noticed that he had arrived in this world early on. He had been alone from birth, and only later had his memories and self-awareness awakened before he entered the White Tower Alliance.
When he had descended into this world, there had even been terrifying, majestic bodies outside the plane that were comparable to planes themselves. They should have belonged to even more powerful wizards, yet not even beings as powerful as them had discovered his traces.
In short, through this information and the records attached to it, Taylor broadened his horizons. He witnessed the existence of more powerful wizards and recognized the extraordinary order and nature of his own ability.
As for the birth of the ability recorded within it, as well as the changes to his soul under that extraordinarily high-order spatial power, Taylor felt that the matters involved were simply too advanced for him to understand at present.
