Gale Spell and Special Ability

The Gale Spell currently had a total of eight spell runes and thirty-one mental power nodes. The eight spell runes represented acceleration, entanglement, dispersion, sharpness, wind element, and enhancement respectively, with three of them being wind element runes.

In addition, this spell model had gained one spell rune and undergone optimization and improvement in three mental power nodes.

Though this spell seemed less optimized than the Black Mist he had learned before, this also represented the Gale Spell's inherent strength and refinement.

In terms of pure destructive power, it could not compare to the Wind Blade Spell, and in certain control capabilities, it also fell short of some other spells. Its advantage lay in its versatility, which allowed it to prove highly useful in all kinds of environments.

To better grasp this spell model, further optimize it, and become proficient in it, Taylor specifically went to the Apprentice Library and exchanged 375 points with Oak for three books of knowledge: The Flow of Wind, The Principles of Wind Blades, and The Connection and Transformation Between Wind and Restraint. He could only borrow them for two weeks.

In order to advance to a level-two wizard apprentice sooner, Taylor even set aside some of the research and experiments he had been working on and began studying The Flow of Wind, The Connection and Transformation Between Wind and Restraint, and The Principles of Wind Blades day and night.

While studying these three books, Taylor did not forget to continue replacing sleep with meditation at night, increasing his magic power and mental power.

One Year Later

Taylor was now eleven years old, and yesterday, he had become a powerful and honorable level-two wizard apprentice.

As his third spell model, the pale cyan Gale Spell model flickered slowly within his mental space.

Over the past year, Taylor had not only persisted in meditating to improve his magic power and mental power, but had also strengthened the Gale Spell he was currently studying. After adjusting the flow of four mental power nodes and optimizing the remaining three nodes with room for improvement, he could not make any better optimizations to the overall system of this spell model. He merely added an amplification rune to further perfect it.

He now had a total of three spells—Lesser Fireball, Black Mist, and Gale Spell—and two spell tools—the Flame Medal and Spider's Eye.

His overall capabilities, offensive ability, escape speed, illusion-inducing ability, and other aspects had all reached a relatively well-rounded level for his current stage. After advancing to a level-two wizard apprentice, the resonance between magical elements and his mental power further expanded his mental space, enhanced his physical constitution and magic power reserves, and transformed him completely.

With his current strength, he had no ability to find the Six-Eyed Owls hidden in corners. Nor did he dare gamble on whether those strange surveillance creatures would appear around him when he made the attempt.

The White Tower Alliance itself was located on a massive isolated island. As an ordinary level-two wizard apprentice, he had no ability to leave the island unless he became a powerful wizard.

His desire to explore other planes now stemmed partly from curiosity. On the other hand, he also wanted to explore other planes, gather more knowledge and truths, and let them constantly collide, creating more brilliant sparks to help him travel farther and farther down the path of wizardry.

Ever since he had learned that he could use his special ability to travel between different planes, this urge to explore had never ceased.

Caught in hesitation, Taylor sat alone in his lounge. Lying on the bed, he did not know what he was thinking. His rationality told him that he could not act rashly now. Yet his desire to explore and thirst for new knowledge urged him to try.

This special ability had awakened after the soul from Taylor's previous life was scoured by an extraordinarily high level of spatial power after arriving in this world. Its essence was difficult to perceive, and its concealment was guaranteed. It was precisely because of the special ability's protection that his soul had successfully arrived in this world.

This message resembled an instinct. It described certain events that had occurred during its own birth, yet it was also more like a record. It included Taylor's arrival, the subtle changes that had taken place in his soul during the crossing, and the process through which the special ability had been born. Taylor understood what this information conveyed and sorted through it to a certain extent. He could not help but grow curious. As for the birth of the special ability recorded within and the changes his soul had undergone under that extraordinarily high-level spatial power, Taylor felt that they involved matters far too advanced for him to comprehend at his current level.
