"Oh, my God, what principle is this based on? This, this isn't scientific!"
As he stared at the solid granite carriage and the earthen steeds that moved as vividly as living horses, Dr. Mark's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Dr. Emma beside him wore the same look of utter disbelief, as though she had witnessed something that shattered her entire worldview.
How exactly did this carriage work? And those two horses were made of solid earth and rock—they couldn't possibly move on their own. This wasn't scientific! What was their power source? What allowed them to move by themselves?

These creations came from an entirely different system of supernatural power. Even if Dr. Mark and his ex-wife Emma racked their brains, they could never figure out something from another system.
"Dad, Mom, this is the mysterious wizard, sir. He can manipulate the elements and use magic. He made all of this with a wave of his hand."
Madison, caught between Mark and Emma, proudly introduced the wizard she had just met to her parents.

Wasn't that something found only in fairy tales meant to fool children?
No matter how unwilling they were to believe it, Mark, Emma, and the rescue team members could only reluctantly accept the supernatural creations laid out before them. Still, they believed this was some technology they did not understand, not any so-called magic.
But this was an emergency, not the time to investigate whether it was magic or not. Getting out of here was what mattered.
The couple stroked their daughter's head, then turned to look at the helicopter reduced to scrap metal and the off-road vehicle blasted to pieces. Both fell silent. Their means of transportation had been destroyed.
