Examination

Before getting married, a son-in-law naturally feared his father-in-law, and fathers-in-law naturally found their sons-in-law displeasing.

The person Naruto feared seeing most was Hiashi Hyuga. The old man was incredibly powerful and wore a stern expression every day, his Byakugan intimidating to behold.

Naruto rarely came face-to-face with him. He had not expected to run into him this time, and in Hinata's courtyard no less.

"Hello, Uncle Hiashi. I came to bring Hinata home."

Hiashi said nothing, his Byakugan regarding Naruto indifferently.

Hiashi thought to himself.

Hiashi was the typical sort with a sharp tongue but a soft heart. As a father alone, he did not hold much dislike for Naruto. He came from a prestigious family, was highly gifted, and possessed considerable strength.

More importantly, Hiashi had personally tested every one of the fist techniques Hinata had learned. They were very powerful.

That was why, although Hiashi was displeased, he had never stopped them.

But as he had said, he was satisfied as a father. As the head of a clan, however, given Naruto's current status, it was basically impossible for him to marry Hinata.

The Hyuga family had always married within the clan, much less when it came to the eldest daughter of the main family.

Seeing that Hiashi was not paying attention to him, Naruto instinctively took several steps back, preparing to leave.

"Wait. Come with me."

Hiashi turned and walked away after speaking.

Naruto hesitated, looked at Hinata, and ultimately followed him.

The two arrived at another residence.

Hiashi stood there with his back to Naruto, saying nothing.

Naruto stood there awkwardly, wanting to move but not daring to.

The Byakugan had no blind spots in its three-hundred-sixty-degree vision.

Hiashi could see Naruto's every movement clearly.

"What happened to Hinata's eyes?"

Hiashi's calm voice came from ahead.

"We sparred today, and she overused her Byakugan."

Naruto explained through gritted teeth.

"Mm."

Whether Hiashi believed him or not, he did not ask anything further.

For a moment, the atmosphere became rather awkward.

This counted as their first formal meeting.

"You may go. Remember to use the front gate next time."

Hiashi's cold voice rang out.

The instant Naruto heard it, he felt as though he had been released after serving a sentence.

So that last sentence had been completely wasted.

Then Hiashi could not help but sigh.

After returning, Naruto secretly let out a sigh of relief.

Hiashi was exactly the kind of person Naruto disliked most.

Over the next two days, Naruto put in some effort and trained his taijutsu.

Time passed in the blink of an eye, and the third day arrived.

Since he was going to pick up Hinata today, Naruto got up early.

After washing up, he activated the Flying Thunder God and vanished instantly.

As for Hiashi's instructions, heh.

Before Hinata could react, the two had already arrived at the school entrance.

The destination for the first examination was here: the written test.

"Damn it, I thought you two were going to be late again."

Sasuke's tone was somewhat impatient.

Naruto could not help looking at him. This was one of his favorite anime characters from his previous life, known as Itachi the God.

Itachi Uchiha's true strength lay in his combat talent. In battle, he could kill an opponent using the most efficient method.

"You're Naruto, right? My little brother has caused you quite a bit of trouble."

Itachi Uchiha spoke gently.

Naruto was surprised. He had not expected the Uchiha Clan to have changed so much, or perhaps this had been Itachi's original nature all along.

Although his father died, he should be considered happy now, right?

A trace of delight rose in Naruto's heart. This should count as proof that he had transmigrated here.

He had already changed many people's fates.

Sasuke immediately became unhappy, especially since it was in front of Naruto.

"Brother, Naruto is the troublesome idiot."

Itachi Uchiha did not refute him and merely rubbed Sasuke's head.
