Background / History

Nawaki was the last surviving Senju heir when Sand ninja lured him into an explosion trap in the Land of Rain. A transmigrated Nawaki activated the Clan Revival System immediately before the blast, awakened the Basic Sage Body and Wood Release, and killed the three attackers afterward. He concluded that Danzō and Konoha’s leadership had helped engineer the Senju Clan’s destruction and vowed to restore his family’s name. 1

After returning to Konoha, Nawaki rescued the kidnapped Kushina Uzumaki from Hidden Cloud operatives. He declared the Uzumaki and Senju to be one family, took responsibility for her protection, and brought her to the abandoned Senju Clan Compound. There, he discovered that the compound’s archives, weapons, chakra guides, and other assets had been systematically removed. 3 7

Nawaki openly resisted Root’s attempts to seize Kushina as a “strategic resource,” defeating and publicly pinning four Root Anbu at Konoha’s gate. He later used Tsunade’s protectiveness, political pressure, and his own growing strength to challenge Danzō’s campaign against the Senju. Danzō’s final assault on the clan compound ended with Nawaki capturing him; Hiruzen subsequently dismantled Root and imprisoned Danzō. 4 10 29 42

Nawaki initially appears as a twelve-year-old with a mature bearing that contrasts sharply with his age.
