"Gary, these are the materials your grandfather needs."

After Gary and Professor Sycamore followed Professor Rowan into the research institute, Professor Rowan, who was walking ahead, accepted several documents from an assistant and handed them to Gary.

"Got it. Thank you, Professor Rowan."

Gary took the materials from Professor Rowan as he thanked him, then quickly placed them in his belt pouch.

Blastoise nodded, indicating that it would cooperate fully.

Seeing Blastoise agree, Gary immediately took out a wristband he had prepared beforehand and handed it to Blastoise.

Set into the center of the wristband was a round gem. Without a doubt, it was the Blastoise Mega Stone Gary had obtained.

After fastening the wristband embedded with the Blastoise Mega Stone onto Blastoise, Gary turned his gaze toward Professor Sycamore.

Professor Sycamore had long been prepared. The moment Gary looked over, he immediately took out the Key Stone he carried and handed it to Gary.

"I'll leave the rest to you, Gary."

Professor Sycamore said this as he handed the Key Stone to Gary.

"Alright."

After accepting the Key Stone, Gary took a deep breath to calm his nerves, then looked up at his Blastoise.

"Blastoise, it's time to show the bond between us!"

Gary looked at Blastoise with solemn determination, then shouted, "Blastoise, witness our new power!"

"Blastoise, Mega Evolve!"

As Gary lightly pressed the Key Stone in his hand, dazzling white light instantly erupted from both Gary and Blastoise.

The light around the Trainer and Pokémon quickly extended into several chains of light, connecting them to one another.

Professor Rowan and Professor Sycamore, who had been silently observing nearby, both revealed shocked expressions at Gary and Blastoise's state.

Professor Sycamore was so stunned that he could not speak. He could only stare blankly at Gary and Blastoise.

During the Mega Evolution, Blastoise's form rapidly changed within the white light.

When the light finally faded, Blastoise's original form had vanished, replaced by a far more imposing figure.

The twin cannons on Blastoise's back had disappeared, replaced by a single barrel even larger than before. Likewise, two smaller cannons had appeared on Blastoise's arms.

From its appearance alone, the Mega-Evolved Blastoise had truly become a living artillery platform.

After completing its evolution, Blastoise repeatedly examined itself, feeling the new power within its body.

"So this is Mega Blastoise?" Having witnessed the completed Mega Evolution, Professor Sycamore could no longer suppress his excitement. He unconsciously walked up to Mega Blastoise and began inspecting it closely.

Naturally, Gary and Professor Rowan followed close behind and came to Blastoise's side to observe it as well.

Under the terrifying gazes of the three, which seemed ready to burn holes through it, Blastoise instinctively shrank back a little to give itself a sense of security.

"Alright." Gary also wanted to witness Mega Blastoise's strength, so he readily agreed.
