"Gary, what Pokémon is this?"

Rosa noticed the surprise and delight in Gary's eyes, growing even more curious as she asked him.

"Yeah, Gary, can you introduce it to us?" Seeing Gary's reaction, Hilda became curious as well.

There were very few Pokémon that could get Gary excited, aside from Legendary Pokémon!

"See for yourselves." Gary did not rush to explain. Instead, he took out his National Pokédex and handed it to Rosa.

"Playing mysterious, are we?" After rolling her eyes at Gary, Rosa aimed his Pokédex at the Pokémon before them.

"Kubfu, the Wushu Pokémon. It undergoes grueling training day after day and diligently studies techniques. Its evolved form changes depending on the moves it has learned. It is a Fighting-type Legendary Pokémon!"

"A Fighting-type Legendary Pokémon!" Upon hearing the Pokédex's description, Rosa's eyes widened at once as she stared incredulously at Small Bear—Kubfu.

"This little guy is actually a Legendary Pokémon!" Hilda found it hard to believe as well.

"Master, is this really appropriate?" Gary had no time to answer Rosa and Hilda. Instead, he looked toward the smiling Mustard beside him and asked.

"This old man no longer has the time or ability to train it. After giving it some thought, I figured you'd be the most suitable person to take it," Mustard said, stroking his white beard.

"But..."

Just as Gary was about to say something else, Mustard interrupted him.

"Besides, you may not necessarily earn Kubfu's approval. It hasn't recognized you yet."

"And stop hemming and hawing. Hurry up and catch it with your own abilities."

"I understand." Seeing Mustard insist, Gary nodded.

As Gary walked toward Kubfu and passed Rosa and Hilda, the two girls quietly cheered him on.
