Sen stood atop the dragon's head, shaking off flecks of mud. Before Kaguya could answer, the red lava vanished in an instant. A chill drilled straight into his bones, scraping upward from his inner thighs like tiny steel blades. He had been drenched in sweat a moment ago; now he let out two enormous sneezes in a row. Before the snot could reach his lip, it froze beneath his nose with a hiss, forming a dry little icicle.
Sen wiped the ice chips from his forehead and shouted at the top of his lungs. He shoved both hands into his trouser pockets, trembling, and looked around at the towering glaciers stretching as far as the eye could see. Huge, deathly white snowflakes blew straight down his collar, making his teeth chatter. "Well, damn, that's some serious air conditioning! From a sauna to a cold-storage room in one second, without so much as a warning!"
Kaguya hovered amid the blizzard, her face livid. Sen kicked an enormous ice spike flying toward him into shards and mocked her loudly. "Wow, auntie, menopause really gave you a temper! Who wants your frozen popsicles? Your ice is too scrawny. Save it for your own toothpicks! Watch me kick this icy trash to pieces. Let's see you play immortal and make it snow in front of me now!"
Black Zetsu poked his muddy black head out of her white sleeve, shivering and shrieking. "Mother! This freak's wood generates its own body heat! The snow and ice can't freeze through his thick hide! Hurry, let's switch to somewhere deadlier and melt all that wretched wood and his stubborn bones into black sludge! Then we'll see whether he still dares to talk tough!"
