Yang Dong drove the Shadow Demons from the Wind Sword Sect, then crossed into the Abyss and empowered Wu Yue to defend and expand the Demon Race. The arc leaves Yang Dong reunited with Kaluo and preparing to wage war on the Shadow Demon Clan while seeking his parents and revenge for the Wind Sword Sect.

• Yang Dong wiped out the White Tiger Sect and Fire Leopard Sect leaders and their gathered fighters, then learned that Pollo was bound to his Ghost Hand Martial Soul through the Ghost God Contract.
• Yang Dong reunited with Lin Nuo and Su Zhi in Nuoding City, named Su Zhi's baby son Su Yuntao Mangmang, and later spared the surrendered Flame Demon, making it the Sixth Ghost God, Netherflame of Carlo.

• Over five years, Wu Yue built the Demon Race into a major power, defeated the Nine Kings, and resolved to conquer the Southern Domain after learning that Kaluo had entered the Ninth Region.
• Yang Dong reunited with Kaluo, learned that his parents had fled into the Great Abyss and that Kaluo had reached level ninety-nine, then ordered him to prepare for war against the Shadow Demon Clan.

Yang Dong rescued Su Yuntao, killed Qian Xunji, and traveled with Snow Empress to the Star Dou Great Forest in search of the Ice Silkworm. After entering the Dragon Tomb, he struck a bargain with the Silver Dragon King to remove the Asura God Power in exchange for her service.

• Yang Dong helped Su Yuntao evolve his Lone Wolf Martial Soul, and the Plane Will secretly asked Yang Dong to save it.
• Qian Xunji lured Yang Dong to the Spirit Hunting Forest, where Yang Dong defeated the ambush and later killed Qian Xunji while rescuing Bibi Dong.
• Yang Dong found Su Yuntao tortured in a basement, then remained with Lin Nuo until the old man died and left Nuoding City with Snow Empress.
• Yang Dong and Snow Empress entered the Star Dou Great Forest and confronted Di Tian over the nine-hundred-thousand-year Ice Silkworm.
• Yang Dong and the soul beasts found the Ice Silkworm, who fell in love with Snow Empress, and Di Tian revealed that it had escaped its confinement.
• Yang Dong entered the Dragon Tomb with Boluoxiu, where he encountered the Silver Dragon King and learned that Asura God Power was corroding her body.

Yang Dong defeated Qian Daoliu, then was carried by the Nine Dragons Pulling Coffin from the Great Abyss to Earth and into the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land. There he met the Ruthless Great Emperor, advanced to godhood, and learned that his Ghost Hand Martial Soul could open the stone gate shown by the Bronze Ancient Coffin.

• Yang Dong defeated Qian Daoliu with Boluoxiu’s help, but the Angel God rescued Qian Daoliu before Yang Dong could finish him, so Yang Dong killed six Spirit Hall Title Douluo and escaped.
• Yang Dong and Kaluo entered the Great Abyss, where Nine Dragons Pulling Coffin appeared, shattered Boluoxiu’s avatar, and carried Yang Dong along the Underworld Road.
• The Bronze Ancient Coffin reached Earth and landed on Mount Tai, where Yang Dong encountered Ye Fan and the others before defending them from the Crocodile Ancestor and boarding the coffin again.
• The coffin carried Yang Dong into the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land, where the Ruthless Great Emperor questioned him about reincarnation and declared him the Desolate Heaven Emperor’s reincarnation.
• Yang Dong explained his cultivation system to the Ruthless Great Emperor, who agreed to teach him the Heaven Swallowing Demonic Art after gaining a trace of creation origin from her experiment.
