Yang Dong infiltrated the Ghost Gate’s forces on the Sun Moon Continent, survived the Great Abyss, and entered the Heavenly Court Ancient Road. After the Former Heavenly Emperor identified him as the destined last Heavenly Emperor, Yang Dong rose to God King and killed the God Kings who challenged him, leaving the Ascension Platform to appear.

• Yang Dong rejected the Sea God’s offer to join the Divine Realm, then agreed to eliminate Ghost Gate forces in exchange for a Sea God Fruit and destroyed Fourth King Hall at Sea God Island.
• Yang Dong traveled to the Sun Moon Continent, joined Tianming Settlement, and infiltrated the Ghost Gate by posing as a survivor who had lost convoy supplies.
• Yang Dong reached the Southern Great Altar, survived its brutal trials, and was sent with other newcomers to map the Great Abyss, where he killed Thousand-Faced Granny and obtained the Thousand-Faced Fruit.
• Yang Dong escaped the Black Flood Dragon King and entered the Heavenly Court Ancient Road, where the Former Heavenly Emperor named him the destined last Heavenly Emperor and helped him cultivate inside the Eight Trigrams Furnace.
• After rebuilding his divine spark and reaching the limit of First-level Deity, Yang Dong entered the trial and killed Light Soul God King and his opponents in Light Soul City.
• Yang Dong faced thirteen God Kings outside Ascension City, killed several of them, and broke through to God King after dispersing his tribulation with Heavenly Dao Slash.
• Yang Dong killed Black Dragon King, Yan Wang, and Heavenly Fox King Hu Jing, after which the Ascension Platform appeared and the other God Kings fled.

Yang Dong returned as a God King, took charge of rebuilding the Heavenly Court, and tried to settle the conflict between humans and spirit beasts while confronting Ghost Gate’s plans. He then hosted a deadly contest between Nuoding Academy and Ghost Gate, which ended its first day with Nuoding ahead and the next day’s matches set.

• The Former Heavenly Emperor made Yang Dong the new Heavenly Emperor, gave him the Heaven Seal, and watched him ascend with the Black Flood Dragon King.
• Yang Dong returned to Douluo Continent, freed the Silver Dragon King from their agreement, and proposed creating a continent for the soul beasts after Ghost Gate was dealt with.
• Yang Dong tried to reconcile with Bi Yuxue, who accused him of abandoning her, then accepted his apology and his promise to search for Bibi Dong.
• Yang Dong discovered that Bi Yuxue’s Ghost Hand Martial Soul was eroding her mind, sealed part of its power, and left her and Tang San with new sword-art knowledge.
• The Great Evil Spirit invited Yang Dong to join Sacred Gate and explained that Ghost Gate needed a new home, while the God of Goodness recruited Yang Dong to help draw out Ghost Gate’s missing master.
• The Great Evil Spirit challenged Nuoding Academy to ranked duels, and Yang Dong agreed to a contest with divine artifacts and godhoods as prizes.
• Tang San killed Han and Ma Hongjun defeated Zhao Yan as Nuoding Academy took early victories, but Bi Mingxue defeated Dugu Yan before Yang Dong stopped her from continuing.
• Nuoding Academy finished the first day with six wins and four losses, and the next morning’s lots set the matches before Tie and Lin Fan forfeited to hide their teammates’ strengths.

Yang Dong defeated powerful Pseudo Emperors, rescued the Asura God, and confronted the Divine Realm over its treatment of the planes. He rejected the Asura God’s invitation to join, while the Supreme Gods agreed to stop drawing power from the planes and wait to see how Yang Dong would fare against the Demon Cave.

• Yang Dong accepted the Ghost Gate Orphans into the Heavenly Court and reunited Bibi Dong with Bi Yuxue, but Bi Yuxue ran away after realizing her mother wanted her to leave.
• Yang Dong showed Bibi Dong another timeline in which she died beneath Tang San’s sword, then asked her to get to know him again.
• Flame God Lord and God Lord Hu Tian found the Heavenly Court, and Yang Dong killed Hu Tian before leaving to contend for the God Emperor position.
• Yang Dong killed Qingyun God Lord and Kailang, then agreed to help the God of Goodness rescue the Asura God from the Four Symbols Diagram.
• After the Goddess of Life restored Yang Dong, he shattered the Four Symbols Diagram, defeated the Pseudo Emperors attacking the Asura God, and subdued Fire Phoenix Li.
• Yang Dong visited the Divine Realm’s Forbidden Land of Gods and challenged Goodness and Evil over the Divine Realm’s exploitation of other planes.
• The Asura God proposed a new order that would protect the planes, but Yang Dong refused to join the Divine Realm and said he could save the planes himself.
• The five Supreme Gods agreed to stop drawing power from the planes and wait for Yang Dong to face the Demon Cave’s assault.
