Watching Serperior get sent flying dozens of meters across the sand, Marshadow anxiously paced in circles.
It knew it still could not intervene. This was Ye Lan and Serperior's battle—the Rainbow Hero's story against a Legendary Pokémon!

Without crying out from the pain in its abdomen, Serperior used the momentum of its tumble to whip its tail against the ground, turning to face Regirock once more.
This injury had not been without gains. Everywhere Serperior rolled, tender green shoots rose proudly from the sand, brimming with life. An oasis had appeared out of nowhere amid the desert.
This was the move Serperior had inherited from birth: Grassy Terrain!
"Now it's our turn! Serperior, Leaf Storm!"
The distance they had created again gave Ye Lan an opening. Slow-moving Regirock could only passively endure the stacking Leaf Storm.
"Regi!"
The tiny scratches across its body were continually enlarged. In pain, Regirock's eyes burned with even greater fury. It slammed both fists heavily into the ground, causing huge rocks to emerge from the sand and hurtle toward Ye Lan and Serperior at its command.
"Keep your distance! It's Rock Blast!"
"Serp!"
Almost the moment Ye Lan gave the order, Serperior understood. Vine Whips shot out from both sides of its body, lashing precisely at the massive boulders flying through the air.
Sure enough, as soon as the Vine Whips touched them, the boulders exploded like ignited dynamite. Many of the scattered stones fell toward Ye Lan, but Serperior smashed them all apart with its tail.
The next instant, two Serperiors appeared within the Grassy Terrain. All four scarlet pupils reflected the figure of Regirock charging toward them.
