Once the three had turned into streaks of light and vanished completely into the horizon, Jiang Yunye stood on the hillside with his arms folded, watching the lingering trails of light with some surprise.
"Who was that silver-purple figure? Why did she chase after them?"

A streak of silver-purple light arrived in an instant, revealing Gu Yuena, her long silver-purple hair whipping in the wind.
"Gu Yuena, why did you follow us?" Jiang Qingyu asked.
Gu Yuena hovered in midair, her tone even. "To come with you, naturally. I know the Far North Ice Plains better than you do. I know the territories and habits of the ancient soul beasts. Having me here will save you plenty of trouble finding them, and I can help."
Ah Yin and Bibi Dong exchanged a glance, a flicker of disdain passing through both their eyes.
She made it sound so grand and righteous, when she had clearly come to join the fun and disrupt their trip.
