History

Jiang Qingyu transmigrated to the Douluo world eighteen years before the story. Before awakening, he received twin martial souls—the Flame Phoenix Sword and Ice Dragon King—from a system that disappeared afterward. His adoptive grandfather died seven years before Chapter 1, though Qingyu’s improved circumstances after awakening allowed the old man to spend his final years without hardship 1.

For five years, Guang Ling Douluo lived at Qingyu’s home after being drawn in by his cooking. Guang Ling eventually revealed his identity and brought Qingyu to Spirit Hall, where Qian Daoliu recognized his exceptional twin martial souls and appointed him Holy Son 1 2.

At the Icefire Yin-Yang Well, Qingyu identified and distributed immortal herbs suited to Guang Ling and Bibi Dong before consuming the Star Anise Ice Crystal Grass and Inferno Delicate Apricot himself. The process strengthened both martial souls, established his ice-fire foundation, and led to the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King residing in his sea of consciousness 7 8 9.
