With a bang, the death she had imagined did not come. The girl nervously opened her eyes, only to see a figure standing before her. Black flames coiled around his hands as he caught the Snow Ape's descending fist.

The tears at the corners of the girl's eyes fell as though a dam had burst, but her eyes were filled with the joy of surviving disaster—and with the not-so-tall figure standing in front of her.

"What are you staring at? Get out of the way! Do you want to die?!"

Yao Feng glanced at the girl behind him from the corner of his eye. Seeing that she was still standing there, he could not help roaring at her.

Startled awake by the voice of that figure, the girl reacted quickly. She slapped the ground fiercely with her palm, and Dou Qi instantly erupted from it, sending her body sliding sharply to the side.

"Damn it, this Snow Ape is strong as **! Old Zhou, aren't you being a little too disloyal?!"

Yao Feng gritted his teeth, his palms trembling slightly. Zhou Tong had directly guided the Griffin Beast past him earlier, reached out, and tossed him down, then vanished who knew where. Although Zhou Tong's Dou Qi had protected him from injury, he had landed directly beneath the Snow Ape's fist, causing his heart to leap into his throat.

Yao Feng took a deep breath as Dou Qi surged rapidly through his body. The muscles in his arms bulged slightly, and his face reddened from the rushing blood. With a low shout, he slowly raised the Snow Ape's arm before violently flinging it aside. Dou Qi erupted beneath his feet, kicking up clouds of dust. Using Explosive Steps, Yao Feng swiftly pulled away from the Snow Ape and arrived beside the girl.

"Thank you for saving my life!"

Looking at his somewhat handsome profile, the girl felt a surge of relief. Had he appeared even a second later, she would likely have died beneath the Snow Ape's fist.

"Let's deal with it first."

Yao Feng looked at the Snow Ape charging toward them, his expression serious.

As though enraged by Yao Feng's act of saving the girl from its grasp, the Snow Ape let out a roar and pounded its massive fists against its chest before charging furiously at Yao Feng.

Its huge fists whistled through the air, and the force of the wind stung Yao Feng's skin. He narrowly dodged the Snow Ape's attack, his gaze turning sharp as Demonic Flame covered his palm. A fierce aura spread outward. Seeing the black flames on Yao Feng's hand, the Snow Ape showed some apprehension. Snow Apes were water-attributed and possessed an innate fear of powerful flames.

Yao Feng lightly pressed his palm against the Snow Ape's enormous body. The intense burning sensation drove the Snow Ape into a frenzy. Its fists swung wildly, raising clouds of dust. Unable to avoid them in time, Yao Feng was struck by one and abruptly staggered backward. His blood and Qi churned in his chest, and a sweet taste rose in his throat.

Yao Feng's eyes turned cold. Heat surfaced on his forehead, and as the temperature continued to rise, the faint image of a medicine gourd appeared there. At the same time, Yao Feng's aura rapidly climbed.
