Fang Shu arrived before the cottage, his face immediately clouding with astonishment and suspicion.
He repeatedly surveyed the surroundings and the cottage door before him. If he had not pulled up the previous records in his Dao Register and confirmed that this was indeed his senior sister's home, he truly would have thought he had come to the wrong place.
Even after confirming that he had not taken a wrong turn, Fang Shu still hesitated as he slowly knocked on the utterly different door.
Not only had the cottage door been replaced, but the windows had also been changed, and even the outer walls had been given a fresh coat of paint.
A cheerful voice rang out from inside. "Coming, coming!"
The door opened, and a pretty young woman emerged from the cottage with her sleeves rolled up and a kerchief wrapped around her head.
When she saw Fang Shu, she smiled. "Little junior brother, you're back."
After studying her for a moment, Fang Shu confirmed that she was indeed Senior Sister Fang Lu. He clasped his hands. "Greetings, Senior Sister."
"Remember to shut the door when you come in, lest you attract some unsavory people again."
Fang Lu gave the instruction, then turned and went back inside.
Fang Shu closed the door behind him and looked around as he walked, growing even more astonished by the cottage's interior.
The old swing frame, hemp ropes, bathing tub, collars, and all the rest had vanished. In their place stood rows upon rows of neatly arranged pots and jars, as well as cages of all sizes. They had been sorted into categories and placed everywhere, with some even hanging from the ceiling of the main hall.
Many of those pots and jars already held growing plants, while the cages contained living creatures
