The moment Fang Shu arrived, his expression froze slightly. His gaze fell upon the festive decorations in the room, especially the colorful pastries and fruits laid out on the table.
A smile touched his face as he said, "No wonder Sister insisted on calling me over today. Is it your birthday, Sister?"
As he spoke, thoughts raced through Fang Shu's mind as he considered what he ought to take from his storage pouch as a birthday gift for Fang Lu.

Fang Lu continued, "Though we seekers of immortality avoid speaking of growing older, and avoid revealing our birth dates and eight characters, every ten years is a milestone. So I thought we might use the anniversary of your coming up the mountain to celebrate your birthday."
Hearing this, Fang Shu looked even more surprised.
He pondered for a moment, then immediately nodded. "Sister, you are thoughtful."
