The Method of Entering the Sect Early

After spending another half day sorting through things in the meditation chamber, Fang Shu no longer hesitated.

With a leap, he jumped out of the well and headed briskly to find Du Yu'er. He intended to compensate for the damaged rock walls in the meditation chamber and ask her where the Hall Master was, as he had something to report.

"What? You damaged the meditation chamber? How badly? Can it no longer be used?"

Upon hearing this, Du Yu'er looked at Fang Shu strangely.

Fang Shu could only cough lightly. "It can still be used. It just looks rather unsightly."

Du Yu'er spread her hands. "Places like the inner courtyard meditation chambers are important grounds of our hall; only inner courtyard disciples may enter and leave. If you truly feel you damaged it too badly, repair it yourself. Just ask the masters in the front courtyard for materials.

"If you cannot be bothered to repair it, then wait until the Hall Master discovers it and explain yourself."

After a pause, she added, "Oh, right. The Hall Master has been in seclusion recently. It has already been six or seven days, and she is expected to emerge the day after tomorrow. Go find her in the discussion hall that afternoon."

"Yes. Thank you, Senior Sister Yu'er," Fang Shu said solemnly.

After taking his leave, Fang Shu hesitated, then returned to inspect the meditation chamber once more.

He found that the damage to the chamber was indeed rather sloppy. If Hall Master Du discovered it, it might lower her opinion of him.

Thus, he thought to himself, I have nothing else to do anyway. I only need to stack bricks and stones outside the golden iron-and-steel pillars.

For him now, this was no difficult task.
