And its speed grew faster and faster.
At first, it was not moving particularly fast, because Purgatory's pull was still holding.
But as the distance between them grew, Purgatory's attraction weakened.
In the void, the Abyss World moved ever farther away like a shooting star.
The place this layer of the Abyss World was heading was nowhere else but the Bottomless Abyss.
The Bottomless Abyss was not flat, nor was it even vertical.
The Bottomless Abyss was constantly spiraling.
Some worlds began at the very top of the Bottomless Abyss. Yet even if they remained at the top, no one could say how long they would stay there.
Perhaps before long, that layer of the world would keep falling downward.
The worlds of the upper, middle, and even lower layers constantly shifted and changed places.
That was also why no one had ever been able to determine exactly how many layers of worlds the Bottomless Abyss contained.
They might spend decades mapping paths to dozens of Abyss Worlds.
Yet when they returned next time, those Abyss Worlds whose routes had already been mapped would have vanished to who knew where.
Thus, no one had ever figured out how many worlds the Bottomless Abyss held, nor could anyone rank those worlds.
Only the worlds occupied by powerful Abyss Grand Lords whose evil was renowned throughout the entire multiverse—
Only such Abyss Worlds could become known to outsiders.
Some other Abyss Worlds were occupied by evil gods.
They fell from the material planes, arrived in the lower Abyss Worlds, and took root there.
Though these Abyss Worlds were equally evil, they retained some of the rare pockets of order within the Bottomless Abyss.
