Once he had this idea, Charles began pondering how to maximize the benefits.

The Ratmen under his command had always been loyal; they had even believed in him.

However, the initial Ratman population had not been large enough, and the power of faith they generated had been insufficient. But things were different now. The number of Ratmen under his command had increased by a huge margin.

Managing that faith suddenly became a very real concern.

At first, when this faith gathered around him, Charles had simply dispersed it with a slap.

Once there was more of it, he began using special witchcraft to collect it.

He planned to sell it later on, or use it for special witchcraft.

But now, Charles began studying how to make use of this power of faith.

Becoming a god was a method with great rewards, but also many restrictions.

Charles had Mark go to Purgatory to purchase some materials.

Then he began his research.

The most important thing for a god, starting from the very basics, was first to condense divinity.

After that came igniting the divine fire, using the power of faith as fuel to sustain its burning.

Once enough divine power had been accumulated, one could condense a divine spark, and finally raise the divine kingdom into the void.

The most crucial aspect of the power possessed by gods lay in the step from divinity to divine spark.

The strongest thing about gods was their divine sparks and their use of laws.

Second was their ability to use the power of faith to accumulate vast amounts of divine power.

Producing this power of faith required only the faith of believers. Compared to other kinds of power, the cost of accumulating it was practically zero.

It was like power picked up for free.
