The Book of Causal Paths' words left Charles silent.

He had once harbored the same concern, but Omniscient Carbuncle Charles made him unable to confirm that conjecture.

If he was not the Origin, then Charles was far more powerful than he was.

Otherwise, it would have been impossible for him to maintain such a disguise under the probing of Charles' Origin power.

There was another point as well. If Charles was truly powerful enough, then he should have been able to kill Charles directly back then and seize his Book of Causal Paths.

Why had he let Charles go and allowed him to advance into an Origin instead?

Charles could not understand it.

But he thought of one possibility. Could it be that the Book of Causal Paths holds an extremely high status, yet the power he can actually wield is not much?

Within the planes, no being is a match for Omniscient Carbuncle Charles, nor would anyone make a move against him.

The other six-ring wizards cannot enter the Shadow Nightmare Realm. Only I seem to have been permitted by him to return to the Shadow Nightmare Realm.

So there is no being capable of threatening him.

Then is such a possibility truly real? That Omniscient Carbuncle Charles is an Origin, or even stronger.

Charles had no answer for the moment.

But the Book of Causal Paths' words strengthened his current conviction.

That was, he had been right not to hand the Book of Causal Paths directly to Omniscient Carbuncle Charles.

Charles did not currently sense Omniscient Carbuncle spying on him.

He was uncertain whether Omniscient Carbuncle had heard his conversation with the Book of Causal Paths.

But since Omniscient Carbuncle could not come to this world, he had no need to concern himself with it for now.
