Demogorgon (II)

Demogorgon did not resemble a crazed demon.

Though in countless legends, he was depicted as a fierce two-headed baboon.

Once he had become powerful enough, however, power and Origin were the finest cosmetics.

No matter how savage, grotesque, and terrifying he had once been, after becoming an Origin, he possessed a majestic kind of beauty.

Faced with Charles's question, Demogorgon said, "The will of the Abyss told me to invite you to join the Bottomless Abyss."

"Only after arriving did I discover that you truly were worth inviting."

"I can see that you seem to have become an Origin powerhouse only recently."

"But I did not expect the speed at which your Origin has grown stronger to surpass even my imagination."

Charles said, "Lord Demogorgon, compared with yours, the power I possess is still not worth mentioning."

"I have merely just ascended into an Origin. Even if my growth is somewhat fast now, it is only because my original strength was so insignificant."

Demogorgon nodded slightly. "You are a wizard?"

Charles nodded.

Demogorgon said, "The cooperation between demons and wizards began long ago."

"You wizards, even after becoming Origins, always have some strange and bizarre ideas."

"That is very bad, because a careless move on your part can bring disaster upon the multiverse."

Charles frowned. "We?"

Demogorgon nodded. "Of course, you."

"Wizards are an enormous group throughout the multiverse. There are no few wizards who have become Origin powerhouses, and not merely in the world you come from."

"Many wizards are always brimming with strange ideas, using all manner of experiments to affect the entire universe."

"I can smell that scent on you."

"Not only I—the Abyss has been urging me to find you for the same reason."
