The book was complete.
Time really flew. I started putting pen to paper around this time last year, when I first wrote down the name Huo Ling.
In the blink of an eye, a year had passed.
Over that year, this book had grown from word after word into the 2.4 million words it was now.
Writing so many words truly was no easy task, and many of you brothers probably knew that I had no outline.
These two million-plus words had been written entirely through deduction and development.
Sometimes, I felt that what I was writing was not a novel, but Huo Ling's real story.
With every plot point and every choice, I would stand in Huo Ling's position and see things from his perspective, making the choice that suited him best.
Of course, this book also had many problems. Starting from the very beginning of the plot, I had still been quite lost. There were many things I wanted to write, but I could not quite keep them under control.
At first, I had estimated that I would only write about a million words. That alone would have been an incredible achievement.
But as the story went on, there was more and more plot, and I discovered that I had unconsciously dug more and more holes.
After filling one hole, another would appear. That really caught me off guard.
From one million words, I wrote to 1.5 million, then to 1.8 million.
The last time I predicted it, I figured I would write around two million. I never expected to go over in the end.
I had originally expected this book to end around June, yet I stubbornly kept writing until October.
But even now, I was still happy. The more I wrote, the more complete the story
