Though there were many Bottomless Abyss worlds, many plane worlds, once corrupted, fell into the abyss.

Among them were naturally powerful worlds, as well as weak ones.

The abyssal lords of the most powerful Abyssal Worlds could even attain the Sunblaze Legendary rank, comparable to powerful divine powers.

In weaker Abyssal Worlds, even the strongest lords were merely ordinary Legendaries.

Huo Ling and the others continued onward, passing fortresses from time to time. Some were garrisoned by powerful greater devils whose presence gave Huo Ling a sense of danger even from afar.

Yet despite encountering so many fortresses, they had not found a single devil above the Radiant Moon Legendary rank stationed there.

Radiant Moon Legendaries were already above the tenth Legendary tier, and they had far more matters to attend to.

Through their conversations with the other devil nobles, Huo Ling and the others came to understand the current situation.

Most of those who led armies were counts or dukes with actual fiefs, though a small number were marquises from Zariel's Court.

In Purgatory, dukes held vastly higher status than nobles of other ranks. They were even candidates to become devil archdukes.
