After Huo Ling finished casting, he paid it no further attention.

His most urgent task now was to force his entire body into the Hemel Plane.

His hands gripped the edge of the portal as though clutching the surrounding laws, pulling himself inward with all his strength.

In the sky, thick storm clouds condensed by the plane's will churned violently.

Bolts of lightning formed from the power of laws began striking down from the heavens, attacking Huo Ling.

Huo Ling's defensive shields were constantly being depleted, but such losses posed no great problem for him now.

As Huo Ling struggled to squeeze his way in, out in the outer void, within the divine kingdom of the God of Radiance—

The deity was tasting a flavor of fear he had not experienced again in thousands of years.

The last time the God of Radiance had felt fear was in the distant past, before he had ascended to godhood.

Neither the divine wars nor the three large-scale planar invasions had ever made this powerful god of the Hemel Plane feel fear.

The God of Radiance watched Huo Ling draw ever closer to the interior of the plane through the portal to the lower realm, his expression dark and shifting.

He had already sensed a threat from Huo Ling. That meant this was, at the very least, an expert comparable to a god of intermediate divine power.

And such a powerful being was about to descend upon the Hemel Plane.

Even one as powerful as the God of Radiance, a deity of his strength, did not dare send his true body directly into the Hemel Plane again.

When a god's true body entered the interior of a plane, the power it possessed was merely the power it had held before ascending to godhood.
