Yue Yang passed through the teleportation gate and found himself inside a manor.
A hundred flowers bloomed, their fragrance overwhelming.
A broad white-stone avenue led straight to the castle atop a small hill. In its middle stood an exquisitely elegant crystal fountain. At its center was a crystal beauty holding a precious vase, with a trickling stream pouring from the vase on her fragrant shoulder, as though the Earth Goddess were bestowing Water of Life upon the mortal world... Within the walls, the castle on the hill was not particularly large, yet its design was uniquely ingenious. One glance was enough to make anyone marvel at the masterful hand that had created it.
The castle had several towering spires, three of which stood at the center of the main keep in a triangular formation.
Of the three, the middle spire was the tallest.
And the most distinctive.
It seemed to be inlaid with an enormous diamond, shining beneath the sunlight like a star.
Perhaps having noticed Yue Yang's arrival, two richly dressed middle-aged women approached from either side, each leading a team of more than twenty sturdy maidservants. They curtsied gracefully.
The magnificently dressed woman on the left had silver hair and an elegant bearing. She wore a man's formal suit with a bow tie at her collar, and had even added a monocle as an ornament. She looked like the chief steward who handled every affair for an aristocratic estate owner.
She courteously gave Yue Yang a gentleman's bow and said, "Welcome to Star Diamond Castle, Young Master. I am Du Li, the steward ordered by the Master to await your arrival here."
The richly dressed woman on the right was plump and well-fed, but not bloated. She simply had a pleasantly prosperous appearance.
Before she spoke, she smiled.
