Geography and Structure
- The Heaven Realm is divided into four great realms: East, South, West, and North. Each contains one hundred regions; regions divide into districts, continents, countries, territories, cities, and towns. Even a town’s territory can exceed the size of Upper Capital on Dragon Soaring Continent. 607
- The Heaven-Piercing Tower is located at the Heaven Realm Gate within the Western Heaven Realm; on a Heaven Realm map, it is represented only by a tiny point. 607
- The Heaven Realm has four gates. The Heaven-Piercing Tower lies beneath the fourth gate, believed to be the Western Heaven Realm gate. 358
- The Upper Heaven Realm is a core region associated with the four great divine realms and the Central Divine Realm. Settling there as a lord requires both a Summoning Codex and Heaven-rank strength. 606
- Long-distance travel is possible through teleportation arrays, but their use is restricted by strength:
- Ultra-long-range arrays require Heaven rank.
- Cross-realm arrays capable of reaching the Western Heaven Realm in a day require Heaven Rank Level Five or above.
- Such highest-grade arrays are found only in the Upper Heaven Realm. 606
- Heaven Realm gold coins bear unique runes and contain energy comparable to Level Six magic crystals. 606
Major Locations
| Location | Description |
|---|---|
| Heaven Realm Gate | Formerly a prosperous trade city linking the Heaven Realm and Heaven-Piercing Tower; it became ruins after the great war and is guarded despite its shattered passage. 760 |
| Sunlit City | A city near the Heaven Realm Gate that once served as the logistics base for an assault on the Heaven-Piercing Tower. It was later destroyed along with the surrounding area by the Forbidden Radiance Powder Star Device. 1217 |
| Dark Realm | A sealed prison-region of the Heaven Realm, established in ancient times to confine fallen warriors guilty of grave crimes. 771 |
| Bright Mountain | A World Mountain larger than the ten floors of the Heaven-Piercing Tower combined; the Central Divine Temple is built upon it. 1333 |
| Conquest City | A city where even ordinary-looking residents, workers, and merchants may be Heaven-rank warriors with suppressed killing intent. 776 |
| Heavenly Splendor Domain | A war-torn domain where mercenaries and factional warriors continually fight for power, profit, and cultivation. 922 |
Power System
Earth Rank and Heaven Rank
| Rank | Equivalent / Characteristics |
|---|---|
| Earth Rank | A Heaven Realm classification for powerful lifeforms without Codices; Earth-rank Level One is comparable to Innate Level One. Even Earth-rank Level Ten warriors are looked down upon if they lack a Codex. 413 |
| Heaven Rank | The higher classification of expert. Heaven-rank warriors are common enough in major Heaven Realm cities that even laborers and shopkeepers may possess this strength. 413 776 |
| Demigod Rank | A realm associated with divine sense. A demigod-ranked warrior stands on a fundamentally different level from ordinary Heaven Rank Level Six or Seven warriors. 1045 |
| Godhood | In Empress Fei Wenli’s definition, true gods are ancient super-lifeforms who command independent laws and possess supreme will; even Heaven Realm magnates and Realm Lords are insignificant by comparison. 664 |
Summoning Codices
- A Summoning Codex is regarded as a “passport” in the Heaven Realm. Codex holders from lower realms are welcomed and may be recruited into sects for intensive training. 413
- Native Heaven Realm experts rarely possess Codices despite their physical strength. Those who contract one are quickly absorbed into sects. 413
- A Codex and Heaven-rank strength are both mandatory for permanent Upper Heaven Realm residence as a lord. 606
- Heaven-Piercing Tower Innates with Codices and Domain power can greatly surpass Heaven Realm Earth-rank warriors of corresponding level. 722
Society and Politics
- The Heaven Realm is governed by strength; power determines status, security, territory, and authority. 1010
- Each of the four great realms has three great magnates and one Realm Lord. 664
- The Central Divine Temple is a dominant force that has controlled the Heaven Realm for tens of thousands of years. 1333
- The Central Divine Temple attempted to expand into the Western Heaven Realm while its three great powers had not recovered from sealing within the Prison Emperor Divine Hall. 778
- Upper Heaven Realm clans, sects, and noble circles receive particular favor from the Grand Hall Master, Dongfang, who is hostile toward the Heaven-Piercing Tower. 958
- The Heaven Realm contains many mercenary groups, sects, kingdoms, city lords, and independent Heaven-rank fighters competing for resources and influence. 606 922
History
Connection to the Heaven-Piercing Tower
Six thousand years ago, travel between the Heaven-Piercing Tower and the Heaven Realm was commonplace. This changed after the Prison Emperor fought the Heaven Realm’s three great overlords to the death; Heaven Realm experts subsequently sealed the Heaven Realm Gate. 413
The gate was said to open once every hundred years, but its spacetime passage had long been shattered. The seal and spatial vortices made passage lethal even for Heaven-rank warriors. 553 760
The Heaven Realm Gate was once a major city of trade, mercenary activity, and travel. Following the great war with the Heaven-Piercing Tower, it fell into ruin and became a site visited mainly by descendants honoring the dead. 760
Ancient Conflicts
- Ten thousand years before the later invasion, the Conquest Queen led Heaven-Piercing Tower warriors into the Heaven Realm and declared war. 1244
- Six thousand years ago, the Prison Emperor led the Heaven-Piercing Tower against invading Heaven Realm legions and defeated them. 1244
- Heaven Realm warriors historically feared the Heaven-Piercing Tower because many of its former powerhouses reached the Heaven Realm and dominated its battlefields. 646
- The Dark Realm was created as a prison for fallen Heaven Realm warriors; its ancient sealing arts later became largely lost. 771
Renewed Contact
Yue Yang established a return route by leaving a battle puppet in the Heaven Realm and using the Three Realms Compass, allowing travel without waiting for the Heaven Realm Gate or relying on the Celestial Ladder. 553
His expeditions revealed the scale of the Heaven Realm, its rank system, its political rivalries, and the hostility many Heaven Realm forces held toward the Heaven-Piercing Tower. 606 669
Relationship with the Heaven-Piercing Tower
- Heaven Realm Gate — once connected the two worlds directly; it was sealed after the Prison Emperor’s war with the Heaven Realm. 413
- Heaven-Piercing Tower warriors — regarded by many Heaven Realm factions as dangerous remnants of a former power, particularly because of their Codices, Domains, and unusual rate of advancement. 646 1269
- Central Divine Temple — seeks influence over the Western Heaven Realm and later supports actions against the Heaven-Piercing Tower. 778 1244
- Heaven Realm Legion — prepares a large-scale invasion of the Heaven-Piercing Tower through blood-sacrifice teleportation formations. 1220 1221
- Yue Yang — leads the Heaven-Piercing Tower’s resistance and declares that its people will not submit to the Heaven Realm’s invasion. 1244

Trivia
- The Heaven Realm is so vast that the entire Heaven-Piercing Tower is described as unable to compare with it in scale. 606

- The Heaven Realm’s own warriors consider the Heaven-Piercing Tower a former “treasured land” because its inhabitants commonly possess Summoning Codices. 646
