Ever since entering Death Valley, Night Owl, Violet Light, Yuesu, and Bei had sensed that something was wrong.

Especially since their two exceptionally powerful companions, Pumpkin and Gu Deng, had opened the Secret Gate and ventured into the Guidance Temple, said to be where the God of Wisdom had enlightened the world. They had vanished without a trace. Four days had passed with no word from them, making the others even more uneasy. Given Pumpkin and Gu Deng's strength, unless they encountered some special terrain, there was no one in the entire Heaven-Piercing Tower besides Supreme who could kill them... Supreme had been in seclusion at the Gate of Life and Death in the Heaven Realm passage for nearly a month. She could not possibly have known that someone had infiltrated the Ruins of the Gods. Besides, this operation had been highly secretive. Absolutely no one should have known.
