Awakening and Cultivation

Children awaken their hidden Martial Souls at age six. At Holy Soul Village, Spirit Hall deacon Su Yuntao guides the ceremony and uses a crystal ball to test each child's soul power 1.
Martial Souls include beast and tool types. Awakened forms shown at the village ceremony range from a sickle, yarn and a wooden stick to Tang San's Blue Silver Grass and Lu Mingfei's Black Dragon King 1 2 5.
Innate soul power and Martial Soul quality are assessed separately: Tang San awakens with innate level-ten soul power, but Su Yuntao judges his Blue Silver Grass to be useless 1.

Bloodline Pressure and Domains

Superior Martial Souls can provoke instinctive fear or submission in others. Lu Mingfei's Black Dragon King suppresses Su Yuntao's soul power and frightens Shui Bing'er's Ice Phoenix Martial Soul 2 118.
Domains are not shown as universal Martial Soul abilities. Lu Mingfei's Dustless Domain provides an offensive and defensive force field, while his Emperor Domain can strengthen dragon-blooded Soul Masters nearby 34 39 90.

Martial Soul Fusion Skills
