Yu Tianheng volunteers to challenge the mysterious fighter known as Tuofu after Qin Ming brings the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy Team to the Great Spirit Arena. 32 As a Level 37 Soul Elder, he confronts Shi An with confidence, but Shi An defeats him without even releasing his martial soul, burying and severely injuring him with earth manipulation. 33 Ye Lingling heals his injuries afterward, while Yu Tianheng admits that Shi An felt comparable to the elders of his clan. 34

Heaven Dou Imperial Academy Training

After Shi An and Zhu Zhuqing join the academy team, Yu Tianheng is among the students affected by Qin Ming's harmful weight-bearing training regimen. His family examines him after Shi An warns of lasting meridian damage. 37 Under Chen Kui, he participates in practical sparring and battles above his rank, but loses to a control-type Soul Ancestor while Shi An defeats his own opponent. 40 42

Fourth Soul Ring and Second Challenge

Spurred by the team's training and the progress of Dugu Yan and Zhu Zhuqing, Yu Tianheng reaches Level 40.
