Background / History
Tang San arrived at Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy with Old Jack, where a gatekeeper initially obstructed their entry. Yu Xiaogang intervened after reviewing Tang San's martial soul certificate and subsequently became interested in taking him as a disciple. At the time, Tang San appeared unusually mature for his age, with a cold, sharp gaze and a composed demeanor. 6 8
Within Seven House, Tang San defeated Wang Sheng and became the work-study students' boss. He immediately felt an inexplicable, fated connection to Xiao Wu when she arrived as a new student. 7
Shi An repeatedly targeted Tang San through covert earth manipulation: immobilizing him during Xiao Wu's challenge, collapsing the ground beneath him during the opening ceremony, and trapping him in the back-mountain melee. These incidents left Tang San humiliated, injured, and increasingly alert to an unseen enemy. 8 9 10
After recovering from the melee, Tang San obtained his first soul ring under Yu Xiaogang's guidance. He then remained at Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy for six years at Yu Xiaogang's insistence before departing for Shrek Academy. 11 12 14
At Shrek Academy, Tang San defended Yu Xiaogang during an argument with Ning Rongrong, striking her after she insulted his teacher. The incident drew the intervention of Ning Rongrong's grandfather, Chen Xin, and Tang Hao publicly appeared to protect Tang San. 50 51
While fleeing Spirit Hall pursuers with his injured father, Tang San learned that Tang Hao is the Clear Sky Douluo and a direct descendant of the Clear Sky Sect. Tang Hao also revealed that Tang San's mother, Ah Yin, was the transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast known as the Blue Silver Emperor, whose sacrifice enabled Tang Hao to escape Spirit Hall. 57

Personality
