Background / History

Wang Tianyu was originally a high-school student from an ordinary family in Qingjiang City. He suddenly found himself with unfamiliar memories in a world where martial cultivation shaped education, status, and survival. While training at the Might-Praising Martial Hall with Chen Yongguo, he discovered a mysterious system in his mind. The system granted him a timeless training experience and allowed him to improve cultivation through accumulated Energy Points 1 2.

His family lived in a fifty-square-meter apartment, and his martial training consumed much of the household income. Seeing his parents’ sacrifices and the appeal of martial strength, Wang Tianyu chose the path of a powerful Martial Artist over pursuing ordinary wealth 4.

He placed first in the martial arts examination, entered Sichuan First Martial University, and rapidly established himself among the university’s freshmen. His willingness to publicly demonstrate his strength was deliberate: he understood that appearing to be a cultivation genius would attract resources that his naturally poor aptitude could not secure alone 34 51 61.

After completing the Martial Master Trial, Wang Tianyu entered the other world and took part in missions around Vanguard City. His rise through the Heavenly Prodigy Rankings brought him into contact with the Saber King, who recognized the potential of his Star-Roaming Saber Art and provided cultivation guidance 154 230 233.

Wang Tianyu later became a nationally known figure after fighting during the Self-Strengthening Society’s invasion. His victories were broadcast throughout the country, turning him into an inspiration for aspiring Martial Artists 351 352.

To infiltrate the Divine Dynasty, he altered his appearance and assumed the identity of Wen Yi, an adopted son of the noble Wen Gang. As Wen Yi, he maintained the identity’s violent reputation, participated in the Latent Kings Assembly, and continued gathering resources while concealing his true allegiance to humanity 452 455 480.

Personality

Wang Tianyu is intensely driven by the desire for strength. He sees cultivation as difficult, resource-dependent, and necessary for protecting himself and those around him; setbacks faced by Chen Yongguo and the threat posed by stronger enemies make this desire increasingly urgent 43 101.

Despite his ambition, he is pragmatic and cautious. He deliberately limits how abnormal his advancement appears, uses disguises and false injuries to expose hidden enemies, and carefully weighs whether Energy Points are better spent on realm advancement or combat techniques 225 327 452.

He values loyalty and repays both favors and grievances. He supports Chen Yongguo, confronts enemies who target him or his friends, and later fulfills his promise to help Chen Yongguo regain his hands. Qian Yongjun specifically regards him as loyal and righteous 101 116 553.
