Jian arrived at Aurelius's Mage Tower on time.

She passed the test, just as she had hoped.

What she had not expected was for there to be so many people.

At the Mage Tower's not particularly wide entrance, at least several dozen people were lined up to enter.

Jian estimated that the total number of participants had to be over a hundred.

Most of those in line were students of all ages. Since people enrolled at wildly different ages, it was hard to tell what year they were in. Judging by the symbols on their robes, most were in prophecy-related majors. About a fifth studied other subjects, all of which required some degree of mathematical ability.

Simply put, there were no pure evocation mages.

There were also several people who were clearly teachers, such as Mentor Piyede, whom she had met yesterday. He was far from the only one.

Others, judging by the insignia they wore, appeared to be employees from the school's research institutions.

As for the remaining few, Jian could not tell where they had come from at all. Could they be from other schools?

Why were so many people here who were not students?

Was this really only for "computational enhancement"?

Something felt strange.

Jian felt this was probably the winter camp Saint Dero had ever held that least matched everyone's stereotypical image of spellcasters.

There was not the slightest trace of mysterious, profound, wondrous magic. It was all pure mathematics.

It might not have looked all that impressive, but Jian liked this environment.

Because her pure spellcasting ability was not particularly good either. It could be said to be the biggest obstacle on her path toward graduating early.

For that reason, her ideal job after graduation was to join the Association's research institute and do research.
