Seeing that someone else had finally grasped the boundless charm contained within Healing Spell, Jia Xiu felt deeply gratified.
This "golden age" was exactly as he had wished.
He was quite interested in seeing what people whose magical skill and raw strength far surpassed his own could come up with based on Healing Spell.
Maybe he could gain some inspiration from it, develop something new, and achieve "stacked-box" research. Everyone could keep building upon Healing Spell, citing and adapting one another's work, until they eventually accumulated an entirely new field of study.
"Hmm." Jia Xiu first looked at the abstract. "The Demons' innate self-healing traits possess instability due to their excessively rapid and efficient nature. By influencing them with the Overhealing Spell and triggering unstable changes in their self-healing systems, it is possible to inflict lethal damage upon Demons. Compared with traditional damage-dealing methods, this approach has the advantages of low cost and no need for close-range contact—"
Jia Xiu roughly understood.
This thing based on Overhealing was not meant to optimize methods of killing Demons in other planes. It was merely intended to improve traditional methods of fighting Demons.
Even with this new method, traditional methods had not completely lost their value.
Because methods for killing Demons in other planes obviously could not be used on every Demon.
The cost, time, and manpower would never allow it. If every Demon had to be sampled, calculated, and then killed, this war would be impossible to fight.
So conventional methods were still necessary. They could be used for "clearing mobs." There was no need to kill them completely; speed was all that mattered. As long as the Demons could be sent back to their original plane as quickly as possible, it would take them quite some time to crawl back out.
