"Why had you derived this thing before?"
Jia Xiu asked curiously.
He could not figure out why Mia had previously researched the Devil Race's surface recovery. Could it be that she too had concluded that the Devil Race's recovery was actually divided into internal and external parts?
How had she figured that out? Terrifying indeed!
Yet Mia scratched her head and answered, "I did it for fun when I had nothing to do."
"For fun?"
"For fun."
"Are you even human?"
"Not entirely."
Jia Xiu took a deep breath and steadied his breathing. "How did you think of doing this when you had nothing to do?"
"Because I wanted to see whether I could simplify the algorithm for calculating the Devil Race's self-healing data, but I didn't know what kind of simplification was correct, so I tried all sorts of methods—by limbs, by organs, by race, by inside and outside, and so on. Most didn't go very smoothly. Some turned out even more complicated than the current version, which was optimization in reverse. But some really did become much simpler, like the surface one."
Jia Xiu raised an eyebrow. "So what you mean is, you actually derived several versions of the equation."
"More or less. Not that many."
"Well done, Mia! Hurry, do you still have the records of what you derived? It's urgent. I really need them."
Jia Xiu urged her.
Mia casually found a sheet of paper with some blank space left and picked up a pen to write.
"But I never verified this one. I derived it purely on paper and didn't take it too seriously, so there might be some mistakes. Take a look first. I'll check it again later."
As she spoke, she finished writing out an equation.
"Here. This is the surface one."
